Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson As "Black Adam"

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is finally getting his wish – he’s playing a superhero. He took to The ‘Gram to announce that he’ll be in “Black Adam.”

In the emotional post, which featured an epic portrait of The Rock as the comic book superhero, he spoke of how he’d wanted to be Superman as a kid. “But, a few years into my fantasy, I realized that Superman was the hero I could never be,” he noted. “I was too rebellious. Too rambunctious. Too resistant to convention and authority. Despite my troubles, I was still a good kid with a good heart - I just liked to do things my way.”

"Now, years later as a man, with the same DNA I had as a kid," Johnson continued. "My superhero dreams have come true. I'm honored to join the iconic #DCUniverse and it's a true pleasure to become, BLACK ADAM." Look for the film to hit theaters December 2021.
