Reporter Claps Back At Man Who Slapped Her Butt Live On Air

On Saturday, WSAV reporter Alex Bozarjian was live in Savannah, Georgia, covering a combined half and full marathon, when a runner came from behind her and slapped her on the butt. Bozarjian was shocked by his behavior but somehow was able to stay composed and carry on with her report.

A disgusted Twitter user posted the clip of the assault writing, "Check out this jerk smacking a @WSAV reporter's a** live on air." Alex replied to the tweet, standing up to her assailant, saying, "To the man who smacked my butt on live TV this morning: You violated, objectified, and embarrassed me. No woman should EVER have to put up with this at work or anywhere!! Do better."

It didn't take long for Twitter to identify the man thanks to his bib number. According to the Daily Mail, which cross-referenced that number with, it's Tommy Callaway, who internet sleuths discovered is a youth church minister.

The Savannah Sports Council tweeted about the incident, writing, "We will not tolerate behavior like this at a Savannah Sports Council event. We have made the decision to ban this individual from registering for all Savannah Sports Council-owned races."

Meanwhile, the Savannah Police Department told NBC News that they are in contact with Bozarjian and it is now up to her how to proceed. A spokesperson for them explained, "We are definitely going to be working with her in any capacity on how she'd like to move forward with this incident."

No word yet on if Alex will be pressing charges.
